Sound of Music
Audrey wanted to sing "Do a Deer" to Opa for fathers day. It was so cute when she sang it to him on the phone, that I set out to try and film her singing it so he could see her. This ended up being a slightly difficult task as she became rather camera-shy when I pulled out the video. When I heard her singing along in the car, I hid the camera phone on the dashboard and hit record. At times, though, I think she somehow knows she's being watched. Well, here you go Opa. Now you can see her performance!

Kids say the darndest things
I just received this email from Marilyn (aka Grammy), and thought it was blog-worthy.
Marilyn writes:
This morning we were watching the Sound of Music [Audrey carries on a running commentary of what is happening when she's not singing.] When Maria and the children were at the market getting fruits & vegetables for their picnic, Audrey was commenting, "See, Maria is buying apples, potatoes, oranges, tomatoes and bikinis." [She really meant 'zuccinis' but that's not what came out! I don't think I will ever look at a zuccini with a straight face again!]Have a great day and be sure to eat all of your fruits and bikinis! M.

Audrey Playing "Ball"
I swear, this entire game was NOT my doing. Audrey found one of Shatrine's poster mailer tubes, and came to me with a ball and asked, "want to play ball?" I did not initiate any of this. We weren't even watching baseball at the time or anything. It was totally out of the blue, so it caught me by surprise and I had to pull out my camera to take some video. I guess I've been watching too much baseball of late. She knew exactly what she needed to do with the bat. Crazy.

Oh Happy Day Trailer
It was "Oh Happy Day" Sunday at Butteville Community Church; that was the theme for the Children-led church service. It was Audrey's first performance in church. Here's a sneak peek.
The full-length (13 MINUTES of priceless footage) version will be available as part of Grammy & Oma's Mother's Day gift. It will be posted shortly. Hope you enjoy our rising star.
