Much Joy!

The smile should tell you all you need to know but I will give a little more detail.

The fun included: pyramid hay stacks, bouncy horses, play houses, a replica of Noah's ark, a HUGE slide (used repeatedly) and one very large caramel apple.

Audrey + much joy!

Audrey's First Parade!

We had so much fun getting to ride on Audrey's pre-school float! We helped decorate it the night before, in the morning we hopped on to enjoy the ride and see neighbors and meet some new friends that will be in Audrey's class. All the children were given huge pipe cleaners which they then turned into lassos (for the rodeo theme) Audrey had a ball and so did we!

Audrey the Ballerina

We have been reading "Angelina Ballerina," need I say more? And yes, Audrey was the creator behind that outfit. Let the twirling begin!

Audrey's First Movie

For Father's Day, we all went out to see Audrey's first movie in the theater: Toy Story 3. Audrey is a HUGE fan of the Toy Story saga, so we thought it would be a fitting first film for her. She was so excited, and had her Jessie doll and everything!

Sound of Music

Audrey wanted to sing "Do a Deer" to Opa for fathers day. It was so cute when she sang it to him on the phone, that I set out to try and film her singing it so he could see her. This ended up being a slightly difficult task as she became rather camera-shy when I pulled out the video. When I heard her singing along in the car, I hid the camera phone on the dashboard and hit record. At times, though, I think she somehow knows she's being watched. Well, here you go Opa. Now you can see her performance!

Kids say the darndest things

I just received this email from Marilyn (aka Grammy), and thought it was blog-worthy.

Marilyn writes:
This morning we were watching the Sound of Music [Audrey carries on a running commentary of what is happening when she's not singing.] When Maria and the children were at the market getting fruits & vegetables for their picnic, Audrey was commenting, "See, Maria is buying apples, potatoes, oranges, tomatoes and bikinis." [She really meant 'zuccinis' but that's not what came out! I don't think I will ever look at a zuccini with a straight face again!]Have a great day and be sure to eat all of your fruits and bikinis! Audrey Playing "Ball"

I swear, this entire game was NOT my doing. Audrey found one of Shatrine's poster mailer tubes, and came to me with a ball and asked, "want to play ball?" I did not initiate any of this. We weren't even watching baseball at the time or anything. It was totally out of the blue, so it caught me by surprise and I had to pull out my camera to take some video. I guess I've been watching too much baseball of late. She knew exactly what she needed to do with the bat. Crazy.

Oh Happy Day Trailer

It was "Oh Happy Day" Sunday at Butteville Community Church; that was the theme for the Children-led church service. It was Audrey's first performance in church. Here's a sneak peek.

The full-length (13 MINUTES of priceless footage) version will be available as part of Grammy & Oma's Mother's Day gift. It will be posted shortly. Hope you enjoy our rising star.

Krake Klassik Part Deux

For my 31st Birthday, we did a little low-key Krake Klassik Second Annual Disc Golf Tournament. Props to Uncle Jim and Rob who came up big on the final "blind" hole to win the tournament. I put together a little animated GIF to show the agony of defeat in my tournament-ending missed putt. Good times.

So, I brought home one of the new Yearbook lenses, and thought I'd play around a bit on our walk to the park.

Celebrating 6 Years!

Thanks to my wonderful folks, Glenn and I were able to leave Audrey in her grandparents very capable hands for the afternoon and go get lunch at The View Point Inn. It is a wonderful little place along the Columbia Gorge. Wonderful food, great conversation and oh so much history to hear about... and by the way the "Twilight" movie prom scene was filmed there. So there were countless fans surveying every inch of the place.. It was pretty funny. The best part of the story is that this little Inn would have closed down if it weren't for the movie making it a great attraction place (and the food is outstanding!). It was a great day!

P.s Yes, I am pointing at the "Prom Archway" all the actors used in the film.

Sprinklers are Fun!

Audrey had her first bit of fun in the sun and water. Slathered in 75 SPF, she enjoyed an afternoon of many giggles and squeals as she played.

Working Girl

One of Audrey's favorite thing to do right now is to "go to work," just like her mommy. She's a natural.

Learning her "J"s

Audrey hasn't figured out how to say her "J"'s yet. This is tricky when your dog's name is "Johnny Cash." However, it's fun for us to hear her try to say it all the time. Thought you would enjoy hearing her try.

Audrey's First Easter Egg Hunt

Easter 2009

What a day. After a great church service we headed over to my folks house for Easter "linner" (in between lunch and dinner). Glenn, my brother Rob and cousin Britt helped create an adventure filled egg hunt. Here are some pics to show Audrey in action. As you can tell she enjoyed it!

Out on the Farm

Well, we finally got our camera back and running. So here is a little recap of our adventure this weekend. We got to go over to a friends farm a see their new baby calf, the big cows, some goats and baby chics. Audrey was all about saying her animal sounds and even broke into a little "e-i-e-i-o" from the famous farm song. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy!

Audrey's First Haircut

So our little Audrey was in need of a hair cut. We found a cute little place that is just for kids, and boy did she have a blast. She got to sit in a little pink car while watching a Disney movie during which the kind hair stylist trimmed her locks.

On a side note, Audrey has also been obsessing about hair bows. So in this picture she had just put this bow in herself. What a milestone! Ha - Ha!
