Krake Klassik Part Deux

For my 31st Birthday, we did a little low-key Krake Klassik Second Annual Disc Golf Tournament. Props to Uncle Jim and Rob who came up big on the final "blind" hole to win the tournament. I put together a little animated GIF to show the agony of defeat in my tournament-ending missed putt. Good times.

At the Park

So, I brought home one of the new Yearbook lenses, and thought I'd play around a bit on our walk to the park.

Celebrating 6 Years!

Thanks to my wonderful folks, Glenn and I were able to leave Audrey in her grandparents very capable hands for the afternoon and go get lunch at The View Point Inn. It is a wonderful little place along the Columbia Gorge. Wonderful food, great conversation and oh so much history to hear about... and by the way the "Twilight" movie prom scene was filmed there. So there were countless fans surveying every inch of the place.. It was pretty funny. The best part of the story is that this little Inn would have closed down if it weren't for the movie making it a great attraction place (and the food is outstanding!). It was a great day!

P.s Yes, I am pointing at the "Prom Archway" all the actors used in the film.

Audrey hasn't figured out how to say her "J"'s yet. This is tricky when your dog's name is "Johnny Cash." However, it's fun for us to hear her try to say it all the time. Thought you would enjoy hearing her try.

What a day. After a great church service we headed over to my folks house for Easter "linner" (in between lunch and dinner). Glenn, my brother Rob and cousin Britt helped create an adventure filled egg hunt. Here are some pics to show Audrey in action. As you can tell she enjoyed it!

Out on the Farm

Well, we finally got our camera back and running. So here is a little recap of our adventure this weekend. We got to go over to a friends farm a see their new baby calf, the big cows, some goats and baby chics. Audrey was all about saying her animal sounds and even broke into a little "e-i-e-i-o" from the famous farm song. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy!

Audrey's First Haircut

So our little Audrey was in need of a hair cut. We found a cute little place that is just for kids, and boy did she have a blast. She got to sit in a little pink car while watching a Disney movie during which the kind hair stylist trimmed her locks.

On a side note, Audrey has also been obsessing about hair bows. So in this picture she had just put this bow in herself. What a milestone! Ha - Ha!

So we are very happy for all our friends, their children are better...little Sophie, John Campbell & Emily!!!

So you might be wondering why there haven't been any new pictures or updates from us - well we lost the battery charger to our camera! So I haven't been able to download or take anything in a while but we are working on it. Until then here are a few fun pics from Christmas time....

Baby Sophie

Sophie has come out fighting again, her folks say she is out of harms way! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

Prayer needed for Sophie!

So my friends (Bart & Shannon) need your prayers desperately. Sophie, their 2 month old, is in the ICU with RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) right now. She has been in the hospital since the 24th and not improved.

Join me in lifting all of them up in prayer please. Thank you so much!

Remembering Uncle Stan

We lost a great man this Christmas, my Uncle Stan. Through the snow and ice we made it over to the coast for his funeral. It was a hard day but it brought family together to remember him and that in itself was a precious time.

Crazy Chewer

So, I come home to feed Audrey, and discover her making this hilarious face. I had to whip out my phone and take a picture to show Shatrine. When Shatrine comes home, I discover where Audrey learned to do this. It truly is a comical sight to see Shatrine and Audrey exchange this face with each other. (It's Shatrine's way of teaching her to chew her food!)

Swiss Baking At Its Best!

On Sunday, my Mom, Aunt Verna, Audrey and I all went up to Olympia Washington to my cousin Dawn's house. She has a brand new kitchen so we decided to break it in by baking some Swiss holiday treats. Wow were they yummy! And we had so much fun. Here is a group shot of all of us and some "artistic" shots of the tools we use to make these family recipes.

New Things

So just a few "new" things to mention today. Audrey has 3 teeth now. And she loves these teething bars... she makes quite a mess as you can see but I just can't refuse! And she just LOVE teddy bears and any sort of dolls, so you can see why she has such a big grin as she is holding up her Dodger bear. Enjoy!

Glenn's 30th birthday was earlier this month and so we planned a Disc Golf tournament to celebrate, hence the reason for the name "The Krake Klassik."
